Nightclub, meet casino. JACK Casino’s downtown location now offers guests of all skill levels an upbeat and social way to get their game on. Synergy Table Games opened on Friday, March 16, on the first floor of the casino.
The new arena offers the latest in gaming technology, featuring 28 electronic play stations with 27-inch interactive video screens. Dealers are also on hand for live blackjack and baccarat games—projected on overhead large-screen monitors—as well as a DJ playing upbeat music in custom lighting. Players can also participate in automated craps, roulette, blackjack, or baccarat games instead of the dealer’s game, or even play multiple games at once. Synergy will soon also offer Keno, as soon as JACK gets gaming approval.
“Synergy brings so much energy to the first floor of the casino,” says Angela Matthews, senior vice president of gaming and innovation for JACK Entertainment. “It’s fun and offers guests a new gaming option that isn’t available at every casino. It’s arena-style electronic table games with live dealers.”
With USB ports at each station, the ability to chat with other players during the games, and the live DJ, Matthews says the format is especially appealing to a younger generation of gamers. “It’s a very high energy experience…so we also get a younger crowd,” she explains. “It’s just a fun environment, so it attracts all sorts of players.”
Matthews says the response from the JACK patrons who have tried out Synergy table games has been positive so far. That includes novice players, as the arena caters to all player levels. “A player that may be new to table games [may be] a little intimidated walking up to a live game, like craps. [At Synergy,] that player can learn at their own pace.”
But Synergy’s format is also appealing to veteran players. “We get feedback from our savvy table games players that they like the ability to play multiple games at one time,” Matthews says. “At Synergy, a player can play roulette and blackjack at the same time or any combination they prefer.”
The electronic gaming stations are open around the clock at the casino, and the dealers (or “dealertainers”) are on from noon to midnight. The DJs take the stage Fridays and Saturdays at 9 p.m., and tableside bar service is always available.
“We really have combined the entertainment experience with gaming to bring the guests’ trip to the next level,” Matthews says. “It’s a fun place to be, for sure.”
