The Cleveland Asian Festival is less than a month away—happening Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21—and the organizers need your help making the two-day event a success.
Last year, the return to an in-person drew 30,000 guests and volunteers ensured the visitors had everything they needed while in AsiaTown.
There are many ways to volunteer—from set up and tear down, to parking attendants and Green Team members, to mascots, performance assistants, and many more roles.
In appreciation for their time and work volunteers will receive a free Cleveland Asian Festival volunteer t-shirt, snacks, and a chance to win great prizes at the volunteer reception dinner.
Volunteers may sign up for more than one shift and will receive a $5 food voucher for every four hours of volunteering. Those assigned to parking will receive a $5 food voucher for every two hours of volunteering.
Volunteers must be ages 16 or older.
Volunteer orientations will take place in person on Saturday, May 13 from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Li Wah restaurant, 2999 Payne Ave., or via Zoom on Friday May 12 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. or Monday, May 15 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
All first-time volunteers must attend the in-person orientation to become familiar with the grounds.
Email the Asian Festival volunteer committee with any questions, or just sign up to volunteer!
