In 2018, Citizens Bank awarded 81 nonprofit organizations more than $1.5 million in contributions through its Citizens Helping Citizens Manage Money initiative.
In 2019, Citizens Bank plans to follow suit. The bank is currently accepting applications from nonprofits seeking funding for financial literacy services that can help people better manage their money—from budgeting to saving to investing to goal-setting.
Online applications are being accepted through December 31, 2018, and any organization within the bank's 11-state radius is eligible. Recipients will be announced during Financial Literacy Month in April 2019.
