They watch over you as you amble along Euclid, latte in hand, oblivious to their gentle aegis. Above and among you, winged beasts are forever poised to take flight, creatures silently howl and bearded men stare out with unwavering gazes.

While most of us nary notice the fantastical stone residents that dot our fair city, Fresh Water's managing photographer, Bob Perkoski, has captured a slew of them with his keen eye and delivers unto us sea horses in Lakewood, a gentle lad downtown and a judgmental patron saint in Slavic Village and many others.

The editorial staff invites readers to enjoy this unique round-up of neighbors that you've likely never met even though they've been around longer than the oldest Clevelander you know.
