PHOTOS: Scenes from the solar soiree at Edgewater Park

The Associated Press called it "the most-observed and most-photographed eclipse in history," and Edgewater Park certainly played its part in that—attracting thousands of Northeast Ohioans for a lively lakefront watch party. Cleveland manufacturer Astrozap donated 2,000 pairs of protective eclipse glasses to the cause, which revelers happily rocked to safely observe the first coast-to-coast eclipse in almost a century. Next stop? 2024, when Cleveland will be in the path of totality of the next solar eclipse.

In the meantime, check out these on-the-scene photos from Edgewater Park's solar soiree—taken by Fresh Water's Bob Perkoski.
