A Night of Music, Food & Cocktails Featuring Watershed Distillery
Thursday, July 2nd. 6:30 pm
Mahalls 20 Lanes 13200 Madison Ave.
$40 Buy tickets
Beyond bowling and fried chicken — join Mahall’s and Watershed Distillery for a unique and delicious date night that will showcase everything that Mahall’s can do. A ticket includes four small plates accompanied by four bold cocktails and live music.
"Our head bartender John was inspired to do a food and drink pairing after talking to Watershed. They do similar events at amazing restaurants, like Crop Bistro, and though we offer a more simple menu, John and Russ, our head chef, felt like Mahall's could use the opportunity to show off the bar and kitchen's creative side," says event planner Lauren Budin.
Mahalls is excited to partner with Watershed, a Columbus-based small batch distillery that produces Bourbon, Vodka, Four Peel Gin, and Bourbon Barrel Gin. Mahall’s head bartender John Sweeney created four unique drinks for the event: Bourbon Barrel Gin with lavender, lemon and champagne; Vodka with strawberry, rhubarb, lime and ginger; Gin with Lillet Rouge and blueberries; and Bourbon with lemongrass and ginger soda.
Mahall’s head chef Harlan Russell created the dishes to go with the drinks, including lemon chevre from Lake Erie Creamery, Cleveland’s West Side artisan cheese producer; local blueberries and greens from Maggie’s Farm, also located on Cleveland’s west side; bourbon-glazed chicken stir-fried with early summer vegetables and rice noodles; provençal smoked-trout pate with house-made flatbread; and strawberry-rhubard crisp. Vegetarian options are also available.
This night also features two bands: Moustache Yourself, an Akron-based gypsy jazz band, and the Oberlin Brass Quintet, a student group from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, who will be leaving soon for a performing tour of China.
