Today, Wednesday, June 7, the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes kicks off its Summer Wednesdays—extended summer hours and live entertainment from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Wednesday through August 30.
The building and welcome desk will remain open until 8 p.m. and the trails and habitats at the Nature Center are free and open from dawn until dusk.
Additionally, every Wednesday night throughout the summer will have special events—including live music, performances by City Ballet of Cleveland; a pop-up shopping night with local boutique vendors and food and drink vendors; a lemonade & cookie night; a wine & cheese pairing; and family game night.
Admission is free, with food and drink available for purchase from vendors.

The Duck Pond Gift Shop will offer 25% off ice cream. Pack a picnic, grab a lawn chair, and bring the whole family to enjoy the summer evening.
Wednesday, July 12 will feature a pop-up shop with local boutiques; and Wednesday, Aug. 2 will feature “Carnival of Animals: Roaming Performances by City Ballet of Cleveland.”
Murray Hill’s brand new Mount Granita Italian Ice will be on-site on June 28, July 26, and Aug. 30. Additional entertainment will be added throughout the summer. Check the Nature Center website and social media for real-time event updates throughout the summer.
