Summer jams
Music Box Supper Club, oWOW, and Yuengling will kick off their summer-long Happy Hour Concert Series (a nod to the old-school Coffee Break Concerts at WMMS) with Brock & Srgo tomorrow, June 5 . Two additional free shows will take place this month, with Falling Stars slated for June 19 and Marc Lee Shannon on June 26. Each performance will take place at Music Box during happy hour with doors opening at 5 p.m. and music starting at 6 p.m. Can't make it? Listen live on oWOW radio. Get more 411 here.

Pitch perfect
On Saturday, June 8, over 1,000 Clevelanders will collectively pitch a baseball from League Park to Progressive Field for the First Pitch of Summer. The ball will travel a whopping three miles by being “pitched” from one person to the next, with the ultimate destination of being used for the ceremonial first pitch of that day's Indians game against the Yankees.

A festival will be held at League Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring music, food trucks, autograph sessions with legendary Indians players, and other baseball-themed fun. Though the event is free, those who wish to be part of the pitch relay must register online or by calling 216-479-6226.

Off to market we go
Pinecrest is hosting its first-ever Give Gifted Summer Marketplace on Saturday, June 8, from 1 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday, June 9, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Shop specialty gifts from local vendors, enjoy live entertainment, and explore all the new Pinecrest has to offer.

Rock on
From Memorial Day to Labor Day, the Rock Hall experience will be amped up with a packed calendar of events (many of them free). In June, be sure to bookmark Hungry for Music (June 15), a free concert featuring students benefitting from the organization's instrument donations and drive; CONCACAF Tailgate (June 22), a free concert with Amine's Soulshine Band before the Gold Cup game; Cuyahoga50 at North Coast Harbor (June 23), a community celebration with live music; and the family-friendly Fam Jam (June 29). (No singing experience necessary.) Green Tara is located at 2450 Fairmount Blvd. and free parking is available behind the building or in the upper lot via the ramp, as well as Grandview Ave.

Take me to the river
