Wellness, Healing & Poetry Night

Infinite Madness
“Everything has a touch of digital madness to it these days,” says photographer Dan Morgan. This digital art exhibition will explore ways that the medium is evolving with ever-changing tools, from cellphones to digital darkrooms to the electronic canvas. Fifteen other artists will have their work on view as well at 818 Studios, 818 Jefferson Ave., in Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood. Painting the Town
Six ugly utility boxes in the Shaker Towne Center area of Shaker Heights have been transformed into abstract or whimsical works of art. The Shaker Arts Council is holding an open house to introduce the artists and celebrate their inspiration. The free reception at Avalon Station condominiums includes tours of the building, at 16800 Van Aken Blvd. Maps of the six nearby utility boxes will be provided, and posting of selfies on social media is encouraged, with the hashtag #shacutilityboxselfie. CLE Ladies Book Club
If you are looking for a place where women can get together and discuss matters of the written word, the CLE Ladies Book Club is for you. For the month of November, the book chosen is “Beloved” by Toni Morrison. Memory Tree
November is a great time to feel thankful, but it can be hard if you are grieving for someone you love. This healing arts workshop provides grieving young people with a creative outlet for their grief. Children six and up are invited to play in the leaves and create a tree of memories that they can hang in their room. The workshop takes place Tuesday, Nov. 5, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at West Campus Hospice of the Western Reserve, 22730 Fairview Center Drive, Fairview Park. For more information, click here.

All About the Art
Front Steps Housing and Services presents its annual art show with works by participants in their art therapy program, illustrating their journey out of homelessness. The program takes place Friday, Nov. 8, at 6 p.m. at the Breen Center, 2008 West 30th St., Cleveland. Pat Ingram Opening Reception
Up-and-coming artist Pat Ingram uses colors, shapes and reflections to change an urban landscape into beautiful art. Kozo Harvest 2019
The Morgan Art of Papermaking Conservatory and Educational Foundation will host its annual Kozo Harvest on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 10, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. At this year’s harvest, you can learn the fundamentals of Eastern papermaking in their urban garden.
