C'mon, get happy (and intentional)
Sip cocktails and make connections at LaunchHouse’s upcoming Intentional Networking Happy Hour. Maria Jeancola from Network Fifty Two will teach attendees how to master their elevator pitch, how to network at different types of events, and the do’s and dont’s of networking. (Be sure to come prepared with an elevator pitch and business cards.) The event takes place on Thursday, August 16, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Sweet 16
The Superior Arts District is poppin’ with more summer arts this August. PopUp at the ArtCraft showcases photography, mixed media, sculpture, paintings, and printmaking from 16 different artists. This month's installment will take place on August 24 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Not an art person? Come for the music and food! Click here to learn more.

A league of its own
Slated for August 25-26, the Baseball Heritage Museum’s "Baseball Pioneers" documentary series is sure to be a home run. Over two days, award-winning filmmaker Jon Leonoudakis will present five documentary films exploring women and race in baseball, such as Shutout! The Battle American Women Wage to Play Baseball and Jackie Robinson: A Lion in Winter. Registration is required by calling 216-789-1083 or by clicking here.

Whole lotta soul
The Buckeye neighborhood knows how to throw a summer bash, as evidenced by its Buckeye Summer Soul Series of concerts and block parties. The events are designed to connect residents, showcase new public art and murals, and build community, with the goal of sparking citizen-led transformation of Buckeye. This month's event is being held on August 18 on E. 128th St. between Buckeye Rd. and Williams Ave.

Port-a-party
To celebrate its 50th anniversary, the Port of Cleveland is hosting a free "Rock the Port" festival on Saturday, August 18, featuring live music, ice cream, cruises on the Goodtime III, Rock Hall tours, maritime activities, and giveaways. Head over to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and North Coast Harbor between noon and 6 p.m. to join in the festivities and fun.

Think pink
Pink Lotus Yoga is turning the “dog days” of summer into the “downward dog” days. The yoga studio is partnering with LakewoodAlive to hold a free, outdoor yoga class in Kauffman Park at 9 a.m. on August 19 and 26. Advance enrollment is recommended; click here to reserve your spot.

Believeland
Save the date for the sixth annual Believe in CLE Yoga Party. On August 31 at 6:30 p.m., the front plaza of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will transform into a super-sized community yoga studio, replete with food trucks and a beer garden. Attendees are asked to bring their own mat and encouraged to come at 5:30 p.m. when the doors open to mingle with other yogis.
