The best things in life are free, indeed, and our monthly "Free Stamp" feature rounds up all of the free #CLE events that get our "stamp" of approval. Got a free event you want us to include? Drop us a line here.

A Very Vintage Christmas
Instead of hitting up the big-box stores, why not visit Cleveland's very own antiques and vintage district for holiday shopping? Every Saturday this month, make your way through Detroit Shoreway and Ohio City to explore "Vintage Lorain"—a new recurring event that promotes both new and established shops along Lorain Avenue. Guests are encouraged to wander from Fulton to W. 45th and from W. 70th to W. 80th, with festivities running from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more 411, click here.

Light My Fire
Head to the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage on Wednesday, December 5, for a menorah candle lighting ceremony, traditional Chanukah songs, and a book reading by Michele Stern that will share a brief history of the holiday. Children can also take part in a scavenger hunt, make crafts, and take home goodie bags. A museum exhibit entitled "Israel: Then & Now" will also be on display for attendees. Festivities will begin at 5 p.m. For more information, click here.

Web Design With a Twist
Few things mix better than "Wine, Women, and Web Design"—just ask the folks at Tech Elevator Cleveland. On Thursday, December 6, Tech Elevator will host a free workshop for women where attendees will build a business-style landing page from start to finish and become familiar with beginner-level javascript and web lingo. This event will run from 6 to 9 p.m. (though guests are encouraged to arrive at 5 p.m. for wine and light eats). Note: this event is now at capacity, but click here to get on the wait list!

Weaving Things Into Conversation
On Thursday, December 6, artist Jessica Pinsky will host a discussion about her newest exhibition, “Dissection." Displayed at Hedge Gallery, the collection consists of 88 textile pieces highlighting what the female body experiences throughout its lifespan. Pinsky hand-dyes each woven piece, dissects it, and manipulates its shape. For a Q&A with this critically acclaimed artist, head to the Hedge Gallery from 6:30 to 7 p.m., then stay afterward to check out the exhibition (which is on view through December 28). For more information, click here.

Healing Through the Holidays
On Thursday, December 6, yoga instructor Becky Verner will host “Yoga to Remember,” a holiday yoga practice focused on healing grief and honoring lost loved ones. The session consists of an (optional) circle of reminiscence, a 45-minute gentle yoga class, and a guided meditation savasana. Activities will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church. For more information, click here.

Get Me to Gordon Square
On Saturday, December 8, the Detroit Shoreway Community Development Organization (DSDCO) and Cleveland Public Theater (CPT) will host the third annual WINTERTIDE event at Gordon Square. Pop-up performances, a $1 screening of "A Christmas Story," and free shuttles to Cleveland Bazaar Holiday! are all on the agenda. (Did we mention there's also a fire pit and S'mores?) Festivities will run from 2 to 6 p.m. For more information, click here.

Scent in Season
On Wednesday, December 12, Polo Ralph Lauren spokesperson Chris Collins will host Indigo Perfumery’s holiday event. Attendees will be able to shop, meet Collins, and experience his new collection, Alchemy of Fragrance. Light hors d’oeuvres will also be provided for guests. Experience this milestone for Cleveland’s perfume culture from 6 to 8 p.m. at 12011 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood. To learn more, click here.

Sustainability in Art
Join Sustainable Cleveland on Thursday, December 13, for its final quarterly meeting of the year. Scheduled for 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Museum of Contemporary Art, the meeting will give attendees the chance to network with green-minded peers, learn about new local innovations, and weigh in on how to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Cuyahoga River fire. (Plus, tour the Alexis Rockman: Great Lakes Cycle exhibition for free!) Light snacks and a cash bar will be provided for guests. For more information and to register, click here.

Play Santa for a Day
All City Candy's Richmond Heights and Mentor locations are taking donations to fill “Santa Sacks” for patients at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospitals throughout the month of December. Donations—both edible and monetary—will be accepted through Christmas Eve.

Christmas in Color
Play Candy Land in real-life at Penitentiary Glen Reservation in Lake Metroparks through the month of December. Attendees will be able to embark on a scavenger hunt, make a “s’more-nament,” and learn more about nature’s four seasons while hopping around a life-size game board. Festivities will begin at 12 p.m. and conclude at 5 p.m. Click here for more information.
