Cleveland stories to remember
Music Box Supper Club continues its free weekly "Cleveland Stories" dinner parties series starting on Wednesday, January 9, with a talk on "Cleveland's Prohibition-Era Monsters" by Dennis R. Sutcliffe. Other storytellers on the docket this month include the Plain Dealer's Bill Livingston, Greater Cleveland Film Commission's Ivan Schwarz, and sportswriter Dan Coughlin. A 'home' of their own
More than a dozen photographic artists will showcase their work at Cleveland Print Room's group exhibition, "Gimme Shelter." Running from January 11 - February 16, the the exhibition explores the role of the house as a "potent symbol in contemporary society."

The dream is alive in Cleveland
On Friday, January 18, visual artist and social justice advocate LaToya Ruby Frazier will headline the 2019 Martin Luther King Jr. Convocation at Case Western Reserve University. Frazier’s visual, award-winning work highlights social inequality and historical change in the post-industrial age. Along with Frazier's keynote, the event will feature workshops, films, panels, and other speakers. Tickets will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. To learn more or register, click here.

Ice, ice, baby
North Coast Harbor’s 5th Annual Ice Fest will take place on Monday, January 21, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Along with 30+ ice displays, festivities include a superhero meet-and-greet, ice carving demos, a #ThisIsCLE photo opp, and more. Attendees can also participate in the Ice Fest Scavenger Hunt for a chance to win winter swag (which will likely come in handy with the onset of winter in Northeast Ohio). Planting the seed
The Cleveland Seed Bank will host its 5th Annual Winter Seed Swap on Saturday, January 26, from 2 to 4 p.m. in Ohio City. Join hundreds of gardeners from across the region to network with like-minded gardners and swap seeds. This event is open to green and black thumbs alike, with all levels of seed and gardening knowledge welcomed. To register, click here.

Flats for less
Through February 28, patrons visiting the Flats East Bank will be able to enjoy "Flat Out Free Parking" from Sundays through Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to close. That new year's resolution starts now
Master couponer and Grocery Smarts founder Ryan Brown will host two free couponing workshops at the DoubleTree in Beachwood on Tuesday, January 29. Door prizes, giveaways, and money saving tips will be provided for guests. Since registration is mandatory and space is limited, click here to reserve a spot at either 3:30 p.m. or 7 p.m.
