Vote. Then Art.
After you vote, why not take advantage of the Free Admission on Election Day event at MOCA? On Tuesday, November 6, visitors can check out new exhibitions like Alexis Rockman: The Great Lakes Cycle and explore the rest of the museum without having to pay the usual admission price. Turn the Beat Around
Love to hear percussion? Join the monthly jam session at Beachland Ballroom to circle up with local drumming communities. The Beachland Ballroom will open its doors at 8 p.m., and the show will start at 9 p.m. Learn more here.

Have Your Cake…
...and wear it, too. On November 10, the Hullabaloo: Sweet Escape Trunk Show follows up Yellowcake's annual Hullaballoo main event (which was held November 3). A pop-up boutique shopping experience, the trunk show will feature apparel and accessories from both Yellowcake and guest vendors, along with brunch, beer, and local sweets. Remember that Unsolved Library Fire?
On Saturday, November 10, acclaimed writer and Cleveland native Susan Orlean will discuss her new book, The Library Book, during the final installment of Cleveland Public Library’s 2018 Writers and Readers series. Join Orlean as she reopens the case of America’s most devastating unsolved library fire with The Library Book from 2 to 4 p.m at Louis Stokes Wing Auditorium (525 Superior Ave.). Just Sing It
Middle school students will perform their own original songs—composed with the help of Northeast Ohio-based teaching artists—at the Rock Hall's Klipsch Main Stage on Wednesday, November 14. Sponsored by the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage and Roots of American Music, this competition-style event will award the winning middle school class $5,000 for their school. The students’ songs are primarily about issues that matter to them, such as racism, bullying, and drug abuse. Performances will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. To learn more, click here.

Finding Common Ground
This summer, a day of Common Ground conversations brought together 4,000 residents across five counties to talk about ways to better Northeast Ohio. (Check out the recap of the FreshWater Common Ground conversation here!) On Friday, November 16, the Common Ground conversation continues with a 2018 Recap Breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. Breakfast will be served as the impact of this year's event is explored—along with a preview of what to expect next year. The Road to Self-Care Starts With…
GirlTrek. On November 16, GirlTrek’s Radical Teach-In and Wellness Revival Tour will make its Cleveland stop. Co-founders Morgan Dixon and Vanessa Garrison will share their “radical” ideals of healing and self-care through various empowering activities—all geared at training "frontline health activists." Events include #WonderofWomen storytelling, tips for organizing a walk, and an “energizing sweat experience.” For more information, click here.

Curious to see Gordon Square's new artist-in-residence in action? Check out Classical Revolution CLE at the Happy Dog (5801 Detroit Road) on November 20 around 8 p.m. Their goal? Ever Wonder Where the Term “Turkey Day” Comes From?
In honor of typical Thanksgiving feasts, the Cleveland Metroparks will be hosting a “Turkey Talk and Tales” event to celebrate the Wild Turkey. The Inner City Hues project is coming to a conclusion, and now it's time to celebrate!
